A Bit About Me
I'm an accountant, but I care about people not just numbers.

I grew up around my parents' hospitality businesses, and found that I had a love of business as well as looking after customers. After finishing college at 18 I started working as an AAT Apprentice at an accounting firm. I worked with small businesses, preparing their books, payroll and VAT Returns. I loved working with them to make things easier for them to run their businesses. Since then I've worked across a number of sectors, picking up a lot of knowledge and skills along the way.

I completed AAT in 2002. I then qualified as an Accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 2008. I even got a CIMA commendation for my final exam! Alongside my work, I love being involved with small not-for-profit organisations as a volunteer. I like utilising my business skills in a way that helps others.

I've worked full time since my daughter was born, so I understand the challenges that are faced in balancing work and home. In the current climate, I see too many business owners struggling with keeping up with the 'back office' work, just the box ticking stuff, that seems to grow all the time. I can support not only finance, but other areas such as: regulation and compliance; HR; risk management; and; policies and procedures.

All of the above has led me to now, to a time when I'm moving away from traditional employment and looking to support businesses as a Fractional Finance Director. With 25 years of experience it's time to focus on helping people.
